34 Signs That Are Funnier Than They Should Be (If You Read Between the Lines)

Some signs are meant to warn you. Others are clearly trying to save you from yourself. And then there are those signs—the ones that make you pause and think, "Wait… what exactly happened here?"

I love those signs. The really oddly specific ones. Because they don't just warn you, they tell a story. A very stupid, very chaotic story. One where someone absolutely tried to ride a crocodile, or maybe licked the bottom of a fridge, or decided the pool was the perfect place to enjoy their 14-day post-diarrhea freedom.

That's the golden rule of funny signage: the more specific it is, and the more catastrophic the consequences, the funnier it gets. "Don't swim if you're sick" is whatever. But "Anyone with currently active diarrhea, or diarrhea within the last 14 days, must not use this pool" is pure comedic gold. It's weird, it's gross, and it makes you wonder what the lifeguard went through to make that sign necessary. Actually, forget about it, I don't actually want to know.
